About the Position
IT Compliance consultant
Amsterdam, Netherlands
We are seeking an IT Compliance consultant to help financial organizations manage IT risks, information security, and complex European regulations such as DORA. In this role, you will work at the intersection of technology, compliance, and risk management, translating laws and regulations into practical, actionable solutions. You will help clients achieve and maintain control in an ever-changing digital landscape.
Responsibilities
As a Medior/Senior IT Compliance Consultant, you will support financial institutions in managing IT risks and complying with relevant laws and regulations. Your tasks will include:
- Conducting gap analyses against regulations such as DORA and translating findings into concrete improvement plans
- Facilitating and performing IT risk analyses within complex (financial) IT landscapes
- Developing, reviewing, and improving policies, procedures, and control frameworks for IT risk and information security
- Advising on and testing outsourcing and cloud structures within applicable compliance requirements
- Supporting audits, inspections, and licensing processes for regulators by providing subject matter expertise
Requirements
We are looking for someone with:
- A completed HBO or WO degree
- At least 2 years of experience in a role such as IT Risk Consultant, Information Security Officer, or IT auditor
- Knowledge of or certifications in IT risk management and/or information security (e.g., CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CISSP)
- Experience with frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002, COBIT, and ITIL
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
Nice to Have
- Experience within a regulated financial environment
- Knowledge of European regulations such as EBA and ESMA directives
- Interest in new topics such as AI Governance and the AI Act
