About the Position
IT Project Manager (Automation & Systems)
FL Technics is a global provider of tailor-made services for aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), delivering solutions to commercial aviation customers worldwide. We are currently seeking an IT Project Manager (Automation & Systems) to join our team in Vilnius, Lithuania.
About the Team
We are a team of 12 people driving digital transformation initiatives for FL Technics' aviation parts trading activity. Our mission is to automate business processes, increase efficiency, and unlock new opportunities for the business. We work with a mix of solutions - some are off-the-shelf systems that we integrate, while others are developed in-house by extending our ERP and building custom applications. We are looking for an IT Project Manager (Automation & Systems) who will take ownership of executing selected initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the execution of selected initiatives - from initial brief to working solution;
- Refine and structure requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for internal and external development teams;
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions fit real operational needs;
- Collaborate with development teams and ensure timely, high-quality delivery;
- Take a hands-on approach - including analyzing processes, validating solutions, testing when needed, and resolving gaps in requirements or data;
- Help the internal development team work in an Agile way by structuring backlog, coordinating sprints, and keeping delivery on track;
- Support the Tech Lead in maintaining delivery structure and consistency.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in project delivery, business analysis, product manager, or similar roles;
- Proven ability to independently drive initiatives from unclear scope to implemented solution;
- Strong understanding of software development processes and Agile principles;
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating needs into development tasks;
- Hands-on approach, working with development teams and business users, ensuring solutions are delivered;
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and ensure their successful delivery;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in situations where not everything is defined upfront;
- Experience working with tools such as JIRA or similar;
- Excellent Lithuanian and English language skills.
