Description
You will manage and configure server infrastructure (Windows Server, potentially Linux), maintain virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and support monitoring, capacity planning, and incident resolution. The role also includes domain administration with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO, plus system security updates, access rights management, auditing, and data backup/restore using Veeam. You will document the environment and propose infrastructure improvements while collaborating with internal IT and technology vendors.
Responsibilities
- Administer and configure server infrastructure (Windows Server; Linux as needed)
- Maintain and manage virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Monitor server performance, perform capacity planning, and resolve incidents
- Manage domain services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
- Secure systems: updates, access rights, audit
- Back up and restore data (Veeam or other solutions)
- Collaborate with technology providers and the internal IT team
- Document the environment and propose infrastructure improvements
Requirements
- Secondary or higher education in IT or equivalent practical experience in server administration
- Experience with Windows Server administration (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, File Services)
- Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Basic PowerShell knowledge (automation/scripting)
- Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, firewall)
- Independence, attention to detail, and responsible approach to operating critical infrastructure
- Flexibility to plan and implement updates
- Communicative English required; Czech required
