IT Support Administrator I

About the Position

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. We're seeking a flexible IT Support Administrator I to help manage and support Affirm’s New York City office and technology infrastructure. Our ideal candidate excels in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with respect for compliance, and documentation.

As a Support Administrator of a rapidly growing company, you will be the backbone of IT, with efficiency, security, and customer satisfaction being your primary objectives.

Responsibilities

• Locally support and troubleshoot users within our NYC office
• Remotely support and troubleshoot our end user’s problems
• Educate on and enforce our IT compliance and policy obligations
• Maintain our Zoom Rooms and AV hardware within conference rooms
• Monitor for security threats and malware, staying ahead of the curve to protect our users
• Occasionally maintain the in-office, local network infrastructure
• Maintain enterprise systems and company IT assets such as servers and desktops

Requirements

• Experience with macOS administration and support
• Ability to improvise and find immediate solutions
• Experience managing formal ticketing systems
• Experience administering SaaS technologies
• Flexibility to work with all types of technology (macOS, Windows, Printers, Network devices, etc.)
• Experience with machine and account provisioning and deprovisioning
• Experience managing Enterprise security:
  • Endpoint security-disk encryption, OS firewalls, laptop/mobile lockdown
  • Email security-tools for signed/encrypted email communication
• Mobile device management technologies
• Willing to grow, learn, and be proactive in finding new, efficient solutions

Nice to Have

• Experience administering Google for Business
• Self-motivated to learn and advance their career within IT
• Experience with AV systems
• Ability to explain difficult technical concepts without being condescending
• Apple Certified Associate or ACSP certification
• Automation and scripting experience
• Goes above and beyond the traditional IT role to assist the office, and greater company to run at maximum efficiency
• Confidence to maintain office IT infrastructure on their own, as needed

• Pay Grade - E
• Equity Grade - 2

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental, and vision for you and your dependents.)

USA base pay range (CA) per year: $80,000 - $100,000

Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirm office.
