About the Position
We are hiring an IT Support Engineer for our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a full-time position where you will provide first and second-line IT support, manage user accounts, and maintain our local IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide first/second line IT support for company internal users and contractors.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot user laptops, workstations, printers, mobile devices, and other office IT equipment.
- Configure, administer, and update Windows, MAC, Linux operating systems on user devices.
- Manage user device environment using user device management tools.
- Create and manage user accounts in Okta, AD, Azure AD, o365, and other systems.
- Perform physical network-related tasks (patching, device installation, ports assignment, cabling).
- Install and maintain server and network equipment, including cable patching in data centers and server rooms.
- Keep inventory of IT purchases and assets, including creating/updating inventory records, assigning equipment to users, auditing inventory, and performing decommissioning.
- Work closely with the facility and security teams to resolve security issues.
- Continuously develop and improve the local IT infrastructure.
- Provide IT asset management according to internal procedures.
- Ensure service/system operations and regular/ad-hoc maintenance to fulfill service availability and security requirements.
- Resolve incidents timely, escalate to third-party suppliers, and analyze and resolve problems.
- Provision system updates and deployments according to respective internal procedures.
- Fulfill user requests according to established SLAs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager related to this position or IT infrastructure.
- Manage logistics, inventory, and equipment between locations.
Requirements
- Secondary (higher, special, etc.) education.
- Excellent fluent written and spoken Bulgarian and English.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to create structured documentation.
- Teamwork skills, ability to take decisions, solve problems independently and in the team, and work under high-pressure working conditions.
- Fundamental IT skills – hardware, OS, applications, networking, security.
- Experience in deployment and support of Microsoft Windows, MacOS, iOS, Linux operating systems, and business software.
- At least 2 years of experience in supporting IT devices hardware and software.
- Experience using and managing workstations in a heterogeneous environment, remote management services, file sharing, collaboration, e-mail, and directory services.
- Fundamental knowledge of IT procedures and security principles.
- Certifications on IT systems administration/support are preferred.
- Enterprise employment experience is preferred.
