We are seeking an IT-System-Engineer specializing in Infrastructure & Virtualization to join our team in Düsseldorf, Germany. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructures.
Responsibilities
As part of our team of infrastructure experts, you will shape the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT infrastructures – from server and storage solutions to backup concepts and virtualization systems. After thorough training, you will take responsibility for our clients' IT infrastructure. You will be involved in both classic project work and the further development of existing and new infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Migration & Implementation: You will be responsible for migrating customer systems, applications, and services into modern working environments. You will plan, design, and implement projects independently or as part of a team.
- Support: You will take over tickets, analyze problems independently, and solve them efficiently.
- IT Administrator / IT Department of Customers: You will act as the direct contact person for the IT of your customers.
- Partnership-Based Customer Support: No classic hotline activity – you will maintain personal, trusting customer relationships.
- Regional On-Site Support: You will support customers directly on-site where necessary.
- Management of Outsourced Infrastructures: Together with your team, you will manage complex, outsourced IT systems of our customers.
Requirements
You have successfully completed your training as an IT System Electronics Specialist and have practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Server and Storage Solutions
- Virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Backup and Recovery Systems
- Microsoft 365 and Windows Server Administration
- Network Administration for switches and WLAN
Ideally, you have already worked with products from manufacturers such as Lenovo, IBM, DELL, Huawei, NetApp, Aruba, Nutanix, Rubrik, Veeam, or VMware – or with comparable technologies. You work solution-oriented, independently, and in a structured manner. A methodical and analytical mindset, high customer orientation, and excellent communication skills characterize you. Additionally, you bring organizational talent, regional travel willingness, and a high degree of commitment.
