We are seeking an IT-Systemadministrator for Storage & Backup to ensure reliable operation of high-availability IT systems in our data center.

---

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliable operation of high-availability and fault-tolerant IT systems in the data center and maintain agreed service commitments.
• Analyze and sustainably resolve operational disruptions. Additionally, provide support to users and departments in 2nd-level support.
• Monitor and optimize the systems in your area of responsibility to contribute to quality assurance.
• Operate, configure, and monitor enterprise storage systems in the SAN-/NAS-environment, optimizing available storage resources.
• Independently plan, implement, and monitor backup and recovery strategies to ensure reliable data backup and recovery.
• Evaluate new system components and modern IT solutions from technical and commercial perspectives.
• Willingness to occasionally visit locations in the Nuremberg metropolitan region and participate in a rotating on-call duty (approximately once a month).

Requirements

• Completed technical studies at the bachelor's level, for example in computer science, electrical engineering, or business informatics, and relevant professional experience.
• Alternatively, hold a recognized technician's qualification or master's degree with further education in information technology/informatics and several years of relevant work experience.
• Good knowledge of ITIL, the ISO 20000 and ISO 27000 standards, and information and communication technologies.
• Strong cooperation and communication skills in working with various target groups (colleagues and customers).
• Your profile is rounded off by structured problem-solving skills in projects as well as innovation and initiative.
• Proficiency in German at least at B2 level including subject-specific language skills, English at least at B1 level, and possession of a class B driver's license.
