Role Description
We are seeking a hands-on and people-oriented IT Team Lead to join our growing IT operations department. In this role, you will co-lead a multidisciplinary team that supports the company’s 24/7 live studio environment, ensuring the reliability and performance of all IT systems and infrastructure. You’ll combine technical depth with team leadership, helping coordinate daily operations, guide technicians, and work closely with the IT Manager, Shift Managers, and global support teams to maintain world-class uptime and service quality.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead daily IT operations in collaboration with the IT Manager, ensuring effective task delegation, shift coverage, and workflow optimization.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering a proactive, accountable, and collaborative work environment.
- Support in creating and maintaining shift schedules, SOPs, and internal documentation.
- Participate in performance reviews and provide feedback to drive individual and team growth.
Operations & Troubleshooting
- Supervise troubleshooting and incident response for hardware, network, and system issues.
- Ensure compliance with SLA targets and escalate critical issues appropriately.
- Oversee the health and performance of streaming equipment, encoders, dealer modules, network devices, and access points across multiple studios.
- Coordinate with the global NOC and other technical teams to ensure fast resolution and service continuity.
Infrastructure & Security
- Monitor and maintain the stability of network and server infrastructure.
- Collaborate on continuous improvements for system availability, redundancy, and data protection.
- Ensure adherence to company IT and InfoSec policies.
Inventory & Vendor Management
- Supervise equipment audits, procurement follow-ups, and vendor coordination.
- Keep IT asset databases up to date and ensure accountability of assigned hardware.
Collaboration & Projects
- Work cross-functionally with Development, AV, and Security teams on new deployments, testing, and integrations.
- Assist in implementing and testing new systems, applications, and upgrades before production rollout.
- Participate in planning and implementing infrastructure improvements and scaling initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in IT support, infrastructure, or systems administration, including at least 1 year in a leadership or mentoring role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration, AD management, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Networking: Solid understanding of LAN/Wi-Fi infrastructure, VLANs, and basic routing/switching principles.
- People Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
- Languages: Fluent English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
- Availability: Flexibility to work in rotating shifts within a 24/7 operational environment.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as ITIL Foundations, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft/AWS equivalents.
- Experience with streaming, broadcast, or multimedia production environments.
- Familiarity with Jira, SNMP monitoring tools, and ITIL-based workflows.
