IT Team Manager (CIB)

About the Position

KLx, the Portuguese subsidiary of Crédit Agricole S.A., is seeking an IT Team Manager for our Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) unit in Lisbon. As part of a large international banking group, you will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, team performance, and innovation. This role combines technical leadership, delivery accountability, and people management to ensure high-quality software development aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical leadership across development, architecture, and DevOps practices;
• Leading, coaching, and growing high-performing engineering teams;
• Ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of projects and solutions;
• Driving continuous improvement in engineering practices, tools, and processes;
• Promoting the adoption of AI-assisted development and innovation;
• Managing technical risks and acting as escalation point for complex issues;
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring clear reporting on performance.

Requirements

• Strong background in software development, ideally across multiple technology stacks;
• Proven experience in modern software engineering practices, DevOps, CI/CD, testing strategies, and system design;
• Demonstrated ability to review code, challenge architectures, and guide engineers technically;
• Previous experience leading development teams and delivering projects in Agile environments;
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing engineers;
• Ability to combine technical expertise with strong people leadership;
• Fluent in French and English.
