Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java source code for both the implementation of new features and the maintenance of existing ones.
- Focus on enhancing our control center software for automated vehicle location (AVL), intermodal transport control system (ITCS) and electromobility applications.
- Software development will include analysis, design, implementation, and testing for our international projects.
- Assume responsibility for specific software modules and the integration into the overall system.
- Work in close cooperation with the development and projects teams in the HQ in Germany.
- Applied technologies will be Java, JPA, Spring, REST, Maven, and PostgreSQL. Also containers (Kubernetes, docker), Loki, Grafana, and Wiremock.
Requirements
- Third-level qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 2+ years’ industry experience with object-oriented software development based on Java.
- Experience in Java Persistence API and relational databases such as PostgreSQL would be a plus.
- High commitment, team spirit, and motivation to assume responsibility in a Scrum development team.
- Availability for occasional business travel to our HQ in Karlsruhe, Germany.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
Location
We offer a hybrid working model with a mix of both office and home working with emphasis on a collaborative development.
