Java Dev Engineer @ING Hubs Romania

Join ING Hubs Romania as a Java Dev Engineer, contributing to secure authentication solutions for ING customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

As a Java Dev Engineer, your daily tasks will include:

• Refining new product features by conducting initial use-case research, creating small POCs, and proposing technical solutions to the team.
• Writing, executing, and maintaining unit-tests and end-to-end tests to ensure the efficiency and reliability of the code.
• Developing and implementing utilization and performance metrics to identify hotspots, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvements and automations.
• Creating and updating high-quality documentation to help consumers understand the systems maintained by your team.
• Providing support for team assets running in the production environment as part of the on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years
• Tech stack/knowledge:
  • Mandatory:
    • Java 17/21
    • Spring and Spring Boot
    • Cassandra
    • Kafka
    • Knowledge of IT security topics (understanding of secure protocols like SSL / TLS, encryption principles, etc.)
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience running Docker containers in Kubernetes / OpenShift
    • Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for alerting and monitoring
    • Experience with Elastic Search & Kibana
    • Knowledge of basic networking components: Firewall, Proxy, Load Balancer
    • Experience with CI & CD pipeline built on top of Azure DevOps
• Languages: English (advanced)
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT-related field is nice to have
