About the Position

Java Dev Engineer @ING Hubs Romania

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team at ING Hubs Romania. Contribute to our software development and data management initiatives alongside a team of over 2000 professionals.

Responsibilities

• Refine new product features by conducting initial use-case research, creating small POCs, and proposing technical solutions in collaboration with architects, UX designers, and product owners.
• Ensure code quality by writing, executing, and maintaining unit-tests, end-to-end tests, and performance tests.
• Implement utilization and performance metrics to identify hotspots, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvements and automations.
• Create and update high-quality documentation to help consumers understand the systems maintained by your team.
• Provide support for team assets running in the production environment as part of the on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years
• Tech stack/knowledge:
  • Mandatory:
    • Java 17/21, Spring and Spring Boot, Cassandra, Kafka
    • Knowledge of IT security topics (understanding of secure protocols like SSL / TLS, encryption principles, etc.)
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience running Docker containers in Kubernetes / OpenShift
    • Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for alerting and monitoring
    • Experience with Elastic Search & Kibana
    • Knowledge of basic networking components: Firewall, Proxy, Load Balancer
    • Experience with CI & CD pipeline built on top of Azure DevOps
• Foreign languages: English (advanced)
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT-related field is nice to have
