About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with at least 4 years of experience for a remote role with occasional presence in Budapest.

Location

• Remote: Only onboarding and occasional meetings in Budapest
• Occasional presence: Office in the 5th district (Budapest)

Duration

• Start Date: 01.06.2026
• End Date: 31.12.2026, extension possible

Language

• Mandatory: English (Advanced C1)
• Nice to Have: German (Beginner A2)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ensure code quality and best practices

Requirements

• Minimum Experience Level: Senior
• Mandatory Skills
  • At least 4 years of professional experience as a Java Developer
  • Very good knowledge of Java 11+ (Java EE / Jakarta EE)
  • Git
  • SQL, JPA
  • Spring Boot

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Docker
• Kubernetes
• OpenShift
• Quarkus
• Hibernate
• Experience in agile development of web-based solutions
• Banking domain knowledge
