Java Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Java Developer with at least 4 years of experience for a hybrid role in Prague, focusing on microservices and cloud-native solutions.

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of shared architectural components within the Java platform used across development teams
• Design and implementation of microservices-based solutions
• Creation of technical specifications and documentation (e.g., OpenAPI / Swagger)
• Active communication with other technical teams across the organization
• Adherence to security, monitoring, and operational stability standards
• Involvement in containerization and orchestration of services (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift)
• Collaboration in a hybrid mode with at least 2 days per week in the offices in Prague

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in commercial Java development
• Proven experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Active knowledge of English at least at the B2 level
• Advanced experience with:
  • Design and development of microservices or service-oriented architecture
  • Development of cloud-native solutions, ideally in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment
  • Creation of REST APIs (OpenAPI / Swagger)
• Desirable:
  • Knowledge of gRPC and Protocol Buffers
  • Knowledge of the Python language
  • Familiarity with financial markets (e.g., bonds, stocks, interest rate swaps, futures, options)
