Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Backend Engineer to join our growing technology team. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems for our digital banking solutions. Your expertise in Java, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies will be essential in delivering high-quality, secure, and efficient financial services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and Micronaut.
• Implement and manage microservices architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Work with messaging systems like Kafka for real-time data processing.
• Develop and optimize database interactions with PostgreSQL.
• Deploy and manage applications on the Azure cloud platform (experience with AWS or GCP is also acceptable).
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile developers to integrate backend services (experience with Kong or Azure APIM or AWS API Gateway would be a plus).
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership by taking features from conception to deployment.
• Apply knowledge of Fintech/Banking industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and Micronaut.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and CQRS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with the Azure cloud platform (AWS or GCP is a plus).
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Experience in the Fintech/Banking industry is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of end-to-end feature development.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
