About the Position
Java Engineer - Payments and Settlement Services @ING Hubs Romania
We are looking for a skilled Java Engineer to join our team in Bucharest or Cluj-Napoca, Romania. You will be working on multi-year projects to upgrade systems, focusing on the Cash & Liquidity Unite Engine (CLUE) and other components of CALM (Cash and Liquidity Management).
Responsibilities
- Work on user stories and coding/unit testing.
- Ensure end-to-end ownership of user stories from analysis to release and support.
- Coordinate activities across different teams and locations.
- Participate in Scrum rituals: Stand ups, Retros, Refinements, Reviews.
- Collaborate with teams in Bucharest, Amsterdam, Mumbai, Manila, and other locations.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of Java development experience (Java 17 and Java 21).
- Mandatory Skills:
- Experience in SCRUM and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to receive feedback.
- Analysis skills.
- Experience with TDD and BDD.
- Familiarity with XML, XSL, XSD.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (we use AzDO).
- Knowledge of various Java frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot.
- Understanding/experience with Kafka.
Nice to Have
- Experience with PL/SQL and relational database development.
- Knowledge of various Java frameworks: Camel.
- Experience with containerization platforms: OpenShift, Kubernetes.
- Project experience in financial market group treasury.
