About the Project

We’re looking for a Full Stack JavaScript Developer to join a product team building a retail data platform. The product collects, transforms, and visualizes data from large retail businesses, helping clients turn complex datasets into clear insights through modern reporting and AI-powered analytics.

You’ll build scalable data pipelines and intuitive web applications that make business reporting fast, simple, and actionable. A key focus of the project is integrating tools like Metabase with AI-powered natural language querying, allowing users to generate reports simply by asking questions in plain English.

Responsibilities

As part of the team, you will work on two main data workflows:

Sales reporting:

• Build interactive, drill-down reporting dashboards based on structured sales data.
• Develop web applications that present complex business metrics in a clear and user-friendly way.

Retail data processing:

• Ingest data from multiple retailers in various formats.
• Transform, normalize, and validate inconsistent datasets.
• Design backend services that convert raw retail data into clean, reliable, client-ready information.

You’ll work across both frontend and backend development while working with modern JavaScript technologies and data transformation pipelines.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of commercial experience with JavaScript / TypeScript
• Strong experience with React and Next.js
• Experience building full-stack applications, including API routes, backend logic, and database integration
• Good understanding of data transformation and processing
• Comfortable working with messy, real-world datasets and converting them into structured, usable information
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or similar
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, early-stage product environment
• Python experience is a strong plus, with the ability to work across both JavaScript and Python when needed
• English and Ukrainian languages at Upper Intermediate level or higher

Nice to Have

• Experience with reporting and BI platforms such as Metabase
• Experience building analytics or reporting solutions
• Experience working with AI-powered reporting or natural language interfaces
• Retail industry experience
