Moore Law is seeking a Junior Advocate in Dispute Resolution/ Litigation - Contractenrecht to join our team in Antwerp, Belgium. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced advocates in handling and resolving diverse disputes, primarily court proceedings.
• Manage court cases for banking clients, the curatorship of bankruptcies, and small to large enterprises.
• Delve into various legal domains, including banking and financial law, attachment and execution law, liability law, insolvency law, security law, and corporate law.
• Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and translate findings into practical legal advice.
• Contribute to the preparation of legal documents, conclusions, and other legal paperwork, and meticulously follow procedures from start to finish.
• Actively contribute to the expansion of our litigation practice by sharing knowledge, building expertise, and collaborating closely with colleagues.

Requirements

• You are seeking your first experience at the bar or have already gained initial experience as an advocate in litigation and court procedures. Experience in banking and financial law is a plus.
• You possess knowledge of Belgian procedural law, private law, and corporate law, or are motivated to further specialize in these areas.
• You combine a strong work ethic with a hands-on mentality, working efficiently, maintaining an overview, and feeling comfortable in a dynamic environment.
• You are organizationally strong, take responsibility, and can independently prioritize tasks within a varied workload.
• You are open to feedback, eager to learn, and believe in continuous professional and personal development.
• You communicate fluently and professionally in Dutch, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of French and/or English is an added advantage.
