Junior Accountant

About the Position

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team in Ireland. At Emergn, a technology and management consultancy, you will play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processes. This is an excellent opportunity for growth in a dynamic international team.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies.
• Support month-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation under the guidance of senior finance team members.
• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliation.
• Assist with VAT compliance and other routine finance activities.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support the wider Finance team with ad hoc tasks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of previous financial & management accounting experience.
• Part-qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured, organised approach to work.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop within an international, multi-entity environment.
• Experience with intercompany transactions, VAT, or audit support would be an advantage.
• Experience working in a global company.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent spoken English.

Nice to Have

• Experience working for a company with a global delivery model.
• Knowledge of tax, accounting & regulations for different countries.
• Worked with a remote team (our Finance team is spread across our locations).
