Junior AIT Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Junior AIT Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth, supporting the assembly, integration, and testing of advanced aerospace and space systems within a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, integration, and test activities in accordance with engineering procedures and work instructions.
• Prepare hardware and equipment for integration and testing activities.
• Support electrical and mechanical integration of aerospace and space systems.
• Execute functional tests and record test results accurately.
• Identify and report non-conformances, anomalies, and defects.
• Complete manufacturing and quality documentation in line with project requirements.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and cleanliness requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the AIT environment.

Requirements

• Required Skills:

  • Space or Aerospace Engineering background
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Strong practical and hands-on engineering skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience working to strict processes and procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Nice to Have

• Additional experience in aerospace or space systems.
• Familiarity with specific aerospace integration tools and technologies.
