The Opportunity

VML is looking for a Junior Art Director Intern.

What You Will Learn and Do

• Creative Development: Collaborate closely with Art Directors and Copywriters to develop innovative ideas that take shape in memorable campaigns, engaging activations, and impactful experiences.
• Multichannel Design: Engage daily with a wide range of projects.
• Visual Design: Bring ideas to life through the creation of layouts, moodboards, and visuals, ensuring a polished and consistent aesthetic.
• Strategic Thinking: Develop the ability to think in terms of concepts, strategic insights, and visual storytelling, moving beyond mere execution to approach the creative process more holistically.

What We Are Looking For

• Attitude: Insatiable curiosity, proactivity, and a strong desire to challenge yourself and learn.
• Visual Culture: Deep interest in the trends and stimuli of the creative world: from art to design, advertising to fashion, music to pop culture.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects) on MacOs, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Portfolio: A portfolio (academic or personal) that communicates your creative approach, aesthetic vision, and ability to translate concepts into visuals, beyond mere technical execution.
