Responsibilities

As a Junior AWS Engineer, you will support the stability, availability, and performance of cloud-based systems running on AWS. This is a support-focused role organized around a rotating shift schedule (4 weekdays + 1 alternating weekend day), ensuring critical infrastructure remains healthy, monitored, and responsive.

  • Monitor AWS services and infrastructure for availability, performance, and alerts.
  • Provide Level 1–2 support for cloud-related issues.
  • Perform basic AWS operations such as EC2 checks, S3 access reviews, IAM updates (guided), and CloudWatch alarm investigations.
  • Troubleshoot incidents and escalate complex issues to senior engineers when needed.
  • Execute routine system checks, maintenance actions, and operational tasks.
  • Document steps, troubleshooting actions, and known issues for internal knowledge bases.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to learn best practices and operational standards.
  • Participate in a rotating support schedule (08:00–16:00, 4 weekdays + 1 alternating weekend day).

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience supporting AWS environments in a cloud, DevOps, or IT operations role.
  • Foundational knowledge of core AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
  • Ability to monitor cloud infrastructure, recognize alerts, and perform first-line troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with incident management workflows, ticketing systems, and escalation procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, methodical approach to issue resolution.
  • Ability to follow operational runbooks, security guidelines, and documentation standards.
  • Clear and professional communication skills for working with technical teams and documenting incidents.
  • Willingness and availability to work in a rotating support schedule, including weekend shifts.

Nice to Have

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Exposure to DevOps concepts or CI/CD pipelines.
