Junior Compliance Specialist

Galaktica, a leading Ukrainian IT product company, is seeking a Junior Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team. Since 2019, we have been creating mobile applications and web products for Tier-1 markets. Our team of over 400 experts from around the world develops international products, experiments with new approaches, and rapidly scales solutions that improve the lives of millions of users.

An important part of Galaktica's business is philanthropy. Since 2022, we have provided significant volunteer assistance in various areas, primarily supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine with dozens of SUVs and commercial quadcopters, hundreds of FPV drones, NRFs with turrets, and quad bikes. We also develop two charitable foundations focusing on the rehabilitation of military personnel and support for children of service members and those affected by the war.

As a Junior Compliance Specialist, you will assist the manager and help the marketing team launch effective campaigns by transforming international platform requirements into clear instructions and safe solutions for the business. This is an ideal start for a specialist with a legal background, ready to grow rapidly under the guidance of a strong mentor in a dynamic IT product.

Responsibilities

• Verify and approve marketing materials and content for compliance with platform policies (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.);
• Monitor changes in platform policies and laws, and adapt company internal processes to new rules;
• Resolve compliance issues directly with partners (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.);
• Advise teams on understanding and implementing platform requirements;
• Respond to user inquiries regarding personal data;
• Protect intellectual property rights by identifying and removing content that violates company rights and supporting trademark registration.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in IT as a lawyer or compliance manager;
• Higher legal education;
• English proficiency at B1–B2 level;
• Understanding of digital marketing and ad management principles.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Data Privacy or relevant certifications in data protection;
• Experience working in an IT product (product companies, marketplaces, B2C platforms) or in digital marketing (affiliate marketing, traffic management);
• Knowledge of EU and US laws regarding consumer rights and commercial law (FTC Act, ROSCA, CAN-SPAM Act, Omnibus Directive, etc.).
