About the Position

Junior DevOps Engineer

NIX is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team of like-minded individuals. Among the most interesting tasks are the development and implementation of clustered and highly available systems for websites and email, automation of server and infrastructure configuration, and working with cloud services and virtualization.

Responsibilities

Remote configuration of Linux and Windows servers;
Configuration of microservices and containerized environments;
Working with cloud providers: AWS, Azure, or others;
Automation of code deployment updates to project environments;
Ensuring the smooth operation of critical (mission-critical) infrastructures.

Requirements

Experience in administering Linux/UNIX and Windows systems (practical experience, from 1 to 3 years);
Familiarity with the main services of AWS or Azure;
Experience with web servers Nginx, Apache, or IIS;
Experience with virtualization systems or Docker;
Knowledge of Bash/Shell or PowerShell;
Fluency in English at the B2 level or higher;
Ability to read manuals effectively and fill information gaps using Google search or AI assistants with verification of results;
Experience in identifying and solving problems in various environments.

Nice to Have

Good understanding of web and related technologies;
Practical experience in deploying environments in AWS or Azure clouds (manually or using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates);
Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar;
Knowledge of Python is a definite plus;
Ability to work with Git and understanding of Git workflows;
Practical experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines for code compilation, deployment, and testing;
Experience in deploying and managing microservices releases;
Knowledge and experience in implementing best practices in all mentioned areas;
Basic knowledge of implementing highly secure systems and networks.
