About the Role

As a Junior Digital Consultant (all genders) at MAI Group, you will work directly on customer projects from the start. Together with experienced consultants, designers, and developers, you will analyze customer journeys, prepare workshops, and help translate digital strategies into concrete actions. You will learn the consulting craft from the ground up, quickly take on your own topics, and contribute to how we use AI in consulting.

MAI is a strong group with eight agencies located in Hamburg, Berlin, Paderborn, Cologne, Augsburg, Munich, and Vienna – united by common goals, mutual exchange, and collaboration across location boundaries. Wherever you start with us, you will be part of your local team and simultaneously part of MAI.

  • Research and analyze markets, competitors, target groups, and customer journeys
  • Prepare, conduct, and follow up on workshops and client meetings

  • Contribute to the further development of our methods, templates, and consulting offerings

Requirements

  • Completed degree, e.g., in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Media, or Communication Studies, or a comparable qualification
  • Initial experience in consulting, agency, or digital projects, including internships or apprenticeships
  • Interest in digital business models, customer experience, and technology
  • Structured, analytical mindset and enjoyment of making complex topics understandable
  • Proficient use of PowerPoint and Excel and familiarity with various AI tools for efficient work
  • Fluent in German (C2 level) and proficient in English

Note: For employment in Austria, a minimum gross annual salary of €33,406.80 (based on full-time employment) is offered according to the collective agreement (VG 3 after the 1st + 2nd year), with a clear willingness to exceed this based on specific qualifications.

What We Offer

As part of the Strategy & Experience Business Unit in Vienna, Munich, and Cologne, you will develop strategies for the digital transformation of our clients and implement them in outstanding customer experiences in a user-centric manner. Our three chapters, Research & Intelligence, Consulting & Execution, and Innovation & Experience Design, work hand in hand.

You can expect:

  • Space for Interaction: Our offices invite you to think, discuss, and work together – modern, bright, and with plenty of space for exchange and creative energy.
  • Flexibility that Lives: Mobile working is practiced. No one is forced into the office – but we always look forward to seeing you in person.
  • Exciting Projects & Clients: You will work with companies and organizations from diverse sectors – with a focus on eGovernment & Administration, Utilities & Providers, Banks & Insurance, and B2B. Additionally, there are exciting projects from NGOs, culture, sports, and retail.
  • Room for Design & Responsibility: You will find an unconventional, dynamic work environment with flat hierarchies and ample scope for your own ideas.
  • Work Meets Life: We practice flexible working hours that allow you to optimally balance your professional and private life – our projects set the pace.
  • Development that is Fun: You will receive internal and external training and regularly participate in exchange formats – because learning is part of our culture.
  • Modern Work Environment: With modern tools, an open, appreciative corporate culture, and a team that supports each other, we create the framework for us to succeed together.
