About the Position

CHECK24 Factory GmbH, the tech heart of Germany's largest comparison portal, is looking for a (Junior) Full Stack Software Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing scalable technologies, data-driven features, and intelligent services for numerous CHECK24 products, used by millions of customers daily. Your first feature should go live in your first week.

Responsibilities

Develop Full-Stack Features: Build apps, services, and platform components for central CHECK24 products – from React frontend to middleware and persistence layer.
Bring New Features Live Quickly: Collaborate with product management, user experience, and quality assurance to develop functions from conception to production.
Ensure Quality Sustainably: Take ownership of performance, scalability, and maintainability of your solutions and actively participate in code reviews.
Develop with AI Support: Utilize modern AI tools for development, testing, and technical conception.
Drive Technical Solutions: Analyze new requirements pragmatically and develop sustainable technical concepts.
Strengthen Engineering Collaboration: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our applications through close collaboration with colleagues.

Requirements

Technical Foundation: Practical experience in software engineering and experience with at least one common programming language such as TypeScript, PHP, Golang, Kotlin, or Swift.
Full-Stack Motivation: Interest in modern frontend and backend development and willingness to develop professionally quickly.
Initial Practical Experience: Experience with web technologies, APIs, or databases gained through studies, projects, or work.
Mobile Curiosity: Interest in iOS and Android development.
AI Affinity: Initial experience with AI tools in daily development is beneficial or motivation to develop these skills.
Collaboration on Equal Terms: Pragmatic approach to technical challenges and constructive collaboration with colleagues.
Language Skills: Very good German skills (at least C1) and good English skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with additional technologies such as React, MySQL, or Cassandra.
