About the Position
Join MAINGAU Energie GmbH as a Junior IT Security Engineer to protect our IT infrastructure from cyber threats and enhance our security processes.
Responsibilities
- Teamwork: You will monitor the IT infrastructure for security threats and work with your agile, interdisciplinary team to detect and fend off cyberattacks early.
- Responsibility: You will strengthen resilience against cyber risks and serve as the contact person for internal colleagues on IT security issues.
- Automation: You will identify automation potentials and develop scalable solutions for security processes.
- Development: You will work with security tools such as SIEM, XDR, or vulnerability management solutions, develop use cases, and continuously optimize the tools.
- Analysis: You will assist in analyzing, processing, and following up on security incidents and continuously develop incident response processes.
Requirements
- Your Background: You have completed vocational training in the IT sector, a completed degree with an IT focus, ideally with a focus on cybersecurity, or alternatively, you have a comparable qualification.
- Experience: You are familiar with SIEM, XDR, and vulnerability management tools. Ideally, you have initial experience with threat and log analysis in hybrid environments.
- Technology: You have a solid understanding of IT infrastructures, cloud environments, and their security configurations. Modern cyber defense technologies and the automation of security processes excite you.
- Language: You have very good German language skills in speech and writing.
Nice to Have
- First experience in the areas of ethical hacking, IT forensics, or the secure use of artificial intelligence (AI) rounds out your profile.
