About the Position

We are seeking a Junior IT Specialist to assist our CTO in managing IT infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and driving technical projects forward. Role Overview
As a Junior IT Specialist, you’ll work alongside the CTO, providing vital support in IT operations and system management. You’ll gain hands-on experience with WordPress, PHP, and web accessibility, contributing to the optimization of our digital environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in web development, systems management, and digital accessibility.
Responsibilities
- CTO Assistance: Support the CTO with day-to-day IT tasks, including system maintenance, troubleshooting, and project execution.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve software and network issues.
- Web Management: Assist with WordPress site management, including updates, plugin configurations, and performance optimization.
- Development Support: Provide assistance in PHP-related development tasks and manage the web environment for smooth functionality.
- Project Support: Collaborate with the CTO on IT projects, providing research, documentation, and progress tracking.
- System Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and maintaining IT systems, ensuring stability and security.
Requirements
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of WordPress, PHP, and related environments.
- Accessibility Awareness: Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines (WCAG, ADA) and a passion for creating accessible digital experiences.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Eagerness to Learn: A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and staying updated with the latest trends in IT and accessibility.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
