Junior IT Support Specialist

About the Position

We are looking for a Junior IT Support Specialist to join our team at Amber Studio in Manila, Philippines. This role is a Contract position, working a midshift schedule (3 PM–11 PM).

About the Role

As a Junior IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the computer systems and equipment of the organization, ensuring they run smoothly. Your duties will include:

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance work
• Setting up and maintaining accounts for staff
• Troubleshooting issues reported by staff
• Checking computer equipment for electrical safety
• Investigating, diagnosing, and solving computer software and hardware faults
• Repairing equipment and replacing parts
• Managing stocks of equipment, consumables, and other supplies
• Maintaining records of software licenses

Requirements

• At least 1-year experience in IT support
• Knowledge of network topology & network connectivity (LAN/WAN), switching & routing, and server operations
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Strong technical, logical, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with computer hardware and software
• Plus: Linux/Unix, VMware, Cloud Computing, Windows Server, MacOS X, CISCO
