About the Position
We are looking for a Junior IT Support Specialist to join our team at Amber Studio in Manila, Philippines. This role is a Contract position, working a midshift schedule (3 PM–11 PM).
About the Role
As a Junior IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the computer systems and equipment of the organization, ensuring they run smoothly. Your duties will include:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance work
- Setting up and maintaining accounts for staff
- Troubleshooting issues reported by staff
- Checking computer equipment for electrical safety
- Investigating, diagnosing, and solving computer software and hardware faults
- Repairing equipment and replacing parts
- Managing stocks of equipment, consumables, and other supplies
- Maintaining records of software licenses
Requirements
- At least 1-year experience in IT support
- Knowledge of network topology & network connectivity (LAN/WAN), switching & routing, and server operations
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong technical, logical, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with computer hardware and software
- Plus: Linux/Unix, VMware, Cloud Computing, Windows Server, MacOS X, CISCO
