Junior Network & Security Engineer (Hybrid)

At Rumos, we are looking for a Junior Network & Security Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the operational maintenance of security infrastructures, with a strong emphasis on quality, productivity, and security.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the operational maintenance of security infrastructures, with a focus on quality, productivity, and security (Run).
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify the root causes of failures and flow disruptions.
• Implement and maintain security policies across security devices.
• Propose solutions to improve security policies.
• Define and implement best practices for security policy management.
• Provide expertise within the relevant area, offering advice, support, information, training, and alerts related to network security.
• Collaborate with specialists from other areas and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and best practices (cybersecurity, quality, among others).
• Ensure the appropriate level of service quality, in accordance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, within the assigned area of responsibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in a similar role.
• Experience with network micro-segmentation technologies and the implementation of rules on traditional firewalls (NSX-T / VCF9 Network, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Experience configuring and managing security rules on firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, among others).
• Good knowledge of IT production environments (request, incident, and change management, as well as technical documentation).
• Fluent in English.
• Good knowledge of French is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, dynamic, and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
