About the Position
Junior Product Manager (Business Segment)
Are you passionate about shaping the future of products for small businesses and self-employed clients while developing your expertise in product management? As a Junior Product Manager, you will take on an impactful role with plenty of room to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, while continuously developing your skills:
- Support the team in developing and optimizing products and services for small businesses and self-employed clients.
- Contribute to the full product development lifecycle, from concept, policy wording, and governance to launch preparation, working closely with different internal stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and developments and, together with more experienced colleagues, translate these into new product ideas.
- Contribute to defining the positioning of our product offering in the market and across our distribution channels.
- Analyze market data, customer insights, and the needs of distribution partners to support well-founded decisions.
- Help monitor the profitability of our products and contribute ideas for improvements.
- Gradually build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and learn how to position our products effectively.
Requirements
- Solid foundational knowledge of business insurance (such as Property, Motor, Liability, Business Interruption, Accident, and Electronics), or eagerness to develop this expertise further.
- Preferably have a first experience (around 2 years) in product management or a related role within an insurance company or broker. Experience as an underwriting assistant or underwriter within this segment is considered an asset.
- Combine analytical thinking with a customer-focused mindset and take initiative when you identify opportunities.
- Communicate clearly and enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Fluent in Dutch and have a good working knowledge of French and English.
- Eager to learn, a team player, and open to new ideas and change.
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferably in an economic or legal field) or equivalent experience.
