Junior QA Engineer

About the Position

Junior QA Engineer

Playtech's QA team is looking for a diligent and meticulous Junior QA Engineer who is excited to work in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple projects and integrations across production and staging environments
• Test mobile and desktop web applications (functional and non-functional)
• Verify production configurations and troubleshoot live issues
• Assist with integrations and UAT processes for new brands
• Create complex configurations via internal backend systems
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues
• Report and track defects in JIRA and other bug-tracking tools
• Help maintain test environments (servers, microservices, databases, deployments)
• Create and execute test plans for projects
• Participate in sprints to ensure development goals are met
• Support production major and maintenance releases

Requirements

• Highly motivated, eager to learn, and results-driven
• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and initiative skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication in written and spoken English
• Basic knowledge of SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Ability to perform basic network troubleshooting, including SSH tools
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes
• Familiarity with monolithic and microservices architectures
• Practical experience with tools such as TestRail, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Grafana, Cursor AI, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL Developer, Kafka UI, Redis, JIRA, Atlassian, Git, Postman, and Browser DevTools

Nice to Have

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Previous experience in technical support or a similar role
• 1+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
• Practical experience testing web applications
• Hands-on knowledge and practical use of AI tools (e.g., Prompt crafting, AI-assisted test design, intelligent troubleshooting, critical validation)
