About the Position
We are seeking a Junior QA Engineer for our Smart Home team in Lviv, Ukraine. Join our growing team and contribute to the development of reliable smart home security systems.

The R&D department, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation, and QA, is responsible for the development of devices at Ajax.
Security systems have increased requirements for reliability and stability. That's why the QA Department at Ajax Systems accompanies the product both at the development stage and in the production and further development process. They detect bugs in hardware, software, or system interactions. This is not just a team of "clickers," but creative engineers. They test new devices in various extreme conditions: simulate human and animal movements, reproduce complex weather conditions, temperature changes, arrange controlled fires and flooding.
The Ajax line includes control centers with their own RTOS (OS Malevich), video surveillance, motion sensors, opening sensors, flood and fire protection sensors, outdoor and indoor sirens, a panic button with device control function, and automation devices. Ajax Systems has many proprietary technologies: Jeweller and Wings radio protocols, Fibra wired communication protocol, LISA, SmartDetect, HazeFlow 2 algorithms, JetSparrow technology, and owns 38 patents for inventions, design, etc.
We are looking for a new player for the QA Department to strengthen the Smart Home team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct manual and automated testing of smart home security systems
- Identify and report bugs in hardware, software, or system interactions
- Test products in various extreme conditions
- Collaborate with the development team to improve product quality
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Participate in product development and continuous improvement processes
Requirements
- QA experience
- Proficiency in Manual Testing and Software Testing
- Strong Bug Detection and Quality Assurance skills
- Experience with Automation Testing and Extreme Conditions Testing
- Ability to work in a Team Collaboration environment
- Excellent Problem Solving, Communication Skills, and Project Management abilities
- Adaptability, Learning Agility, Critical Thinking, and Analytical Skills
- Familiarity with Technical Writing, Documentation, and Test Planning
- Knowledge of Test Execution, Test Reporting, Test Automation, Test Strategy, Test Design, Test Analysis, Test Management, Test Optimization, Test Improvement, Test Coordination, Test Collaboration
