About the Position
We are currently looking for a Junior QA Specialist to join our project Brainer, which is building a comprehensive online platform for measuring, training, and systematically developing human cognitive abilities.
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine
Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Manual testing of the web product: user scenarios, landing pages, quizzes, payment flows, subscriptions, and personal account functionality.
- Analysis of requirements, designs, and product tasks before development, identifying unclear cases, gaps, and potential risks.
- Creation and maintenance of test cases, checklists, regression suites, and QA documentation.
- Conducting smoke, regression, functional, exploratory, cross-browser, and mobile web testing.
- Creating high-quality bug reports with clear steps to reproduce, actual/expected results, screenshots/videos, logs, and environment details.
- Verifying bug fixes and participating in release testing. Basic validation of analytics/tracking events in product and marketing user flows.
- Investigating production issues using browser DevTools, logs, Sentry/monitoring tools, and analytics data.
- Participating in the creation and maintenance of basic automated tests for critical user flows using Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
Requirements
- Confident understanding of manual QA fundamentals: test cases, checklists, bug reports, smoke/regression testing.
- Experience testing web applications, including responsive layouts, cross-browser testing, mobile web testing, and end-to-end user flows.
- Ability to analyze requirements, design mockups, and product tasks, identifying non-obvious cases, gaps, and potential risks before release.
- Experience testing APIs using Postman, Insomnia, or similar tools: REST API, JSON, status codes, request/response validation.
- Basic understanding of client-server architecture, browser DevTools, cookies, local storage, network requests, and logs.
- Ability to clearly document bugs, including steps to reproduce, actual result, expected result, screenshots/videos, and environment details.
Nice to Have
- Technical education or relevant technical background.
- Experience with automated testing: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Experience testing payment flows, subscriptions, checkout, refunds, and cancellation flows.
- Experience validating analytics events, tracking pixels, and marketing funnels.
