About the Position

Junior Robotics Engineer

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions and support the full lifecycle of robotics projects, from implementation to optimization. As part of the Robotics Operations and Integration team within the SoftServe Robotics Group, you will contribute to the development and seamless integration of robotic systems across edge devices and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of robotic systems, applying engineering principles
• Work with C++ or Python to support robotics-related tasks and solutions
• Operate effectively within a Linux environment
• Apply and continuously develop knowledge of robotics concepts such as kinematics, dynamics, control systems, and sensor integration in an industrial context
• Participate in projects related to robotics, leveraging your academic background in Robotics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• Solve technical challenges using a structured, detail-oriented, and methodical approach
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and maintain clear documentation
• Contribute to real-world industrial automation projects aimed at improving productivity and efficiency through robotic solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++; ability to read, write, and debug code independently
• Hands-on exposure to ROS or ROS2 - through coursework, personal projects, or internships
• Working knowledge of Linux command-line environment (navigation, scripting, package management)
• Familiarity with sensor types used in robotics (e.g., LiDAR, IMU, cameras) and basic data handling
• Basic understanding of robotic solutions design and development for industrial automation
• Familiarity with prototyping and testing processes, with an interest in the full development cycle from concept to production
• Awareness of robotic systems integration with cloud services and a willingness to learn how these solutions improve precision and productivity
• Skills to communicate effectively in English within a multicultural, collaborative environment
