About the Position
We are looking for a Junior Security Operations Engineering Consultant (m/w/d) located in Germany to join our team at NVISO. Responsibilities
As a Junior Security Operations Engineering Consultant (m/w/d), you will assist in various Security Operations Center (SOC) projects. Your tasks will include:
- Planning and managing the onboarding of new log sources, troubleshooting issues with log sources or systems with clients and vendors;
- Creating technical and process playbooks;
- Defining and setting up correlation rules, based on threat intelligence and specific customer requirements;
- Contributing to incident response procedures;
- Ensuring you remain up to speed with the latest trends and technologies in the SOC field.
Requirements
- Citizenship: You hold citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states or the Austrian citizenship;
- Experience: 1-2 years of practical experience (such as a SOC Analyst) in the field of cybersecurity or IT is mandatory;
- Technical Skills: Experience with Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Security stack, or SIEM technologies such as Elastic, Splunk, or LogPoint;
- Scripting: Experience with scripting in Python and/or other relevant scripting or automation language is a big plus;
- Languages: Excellent English and German communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and communication skills, positive and team-oriented attitude.
