Junior Software Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer with strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented languages to join our team in Porto, Portugal. This is a full-time position with the possibility of remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented languages.
• Design and implement microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Deploy and monitor applications in the Cloud (GCP, AWS, etc.).
• Collaborate with the team to ensure code quality and performance.
• Participate in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, and embrace DevOps culture.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented languages.
• Strong understanding of Microservice architecture and distributed systems.
• Knowledge in developing, deploying, and monitoring applications in the Cloud (GCP, AWS, etc.).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps culture.
• Care about code quality and performance.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
• Degree in computer engineering or similar.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI tools such as Jenkins.
