About the Position

We are seeking a Junior Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team in Berlin, focusing on facility services procurement and digital process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Support in tenders for facility services such as cleaning, security, maintenance, and repairs, gather quotes, evaluate them, and participate in contract and condition negotiations – gradually taking over your own assignments.
  • Manage procurement processes in operational and tactical purchasing, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Identify needs from building technology, maintenance, and repairs, and prepare decisions.
  • Evaluate service providers based on SLAs and KPIs for quality and service, and keep an eye on the market and new providers.
  • Serve as a contact person for our service providers and work closely with the facility service, internal departments, and management.
  • Regularly visit our locations, e.g., for site inspections and service provider meetings.
  • Utilize AI-supported tools, such as for market research, quote comparisons, expense analyses, and preparation of tender documents, and actively develop our digital purchasing processes.
  • Contribute ideas for cost optimization, risk minimization, and ESG criteria.

Requirements

  • Completed studies in commercial or technical fields or in facility management – alternatively, a technical or vocational education with commercial training.
  • Initial professional experience in purchasing, facility management, or a related field, ideally one to two years; internships or work-study positions also count.
  • Interest in building technology, maintenance, and facility processes; basic knowledge of contract law is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, enjoyment in dealing with people, and an open, reliable demeanor.
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn, and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
  • Enjoyment of new technologies and a desire to work with AI tools and shape their use in purchasing.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent German skills (C2) and good English skills in speech and writing.
  • Driver's license class B.

We Offer

  • Diverse career and development opportunities in a growing company with flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes, where you can take on responsibility and grow with us.
  • Modern working tools and an open, collegial corporate culture.
  • Competitive compensation.
  • A modern office, flexible working hours (flextime), and genuine appreciation for your work. Plenty of room for design and responsibility – your ideas are in demand!
  • Extensive offerings for health, fitness, and mental health.
  • Free beverages, fresh fruit, and regular team events.
  • The opportunity to make a real contribution to sustainability and social commitment.
