Join CoorsTek GmbH in Lauf an der Pegnitz as a Konstruktionsingenieur (m/w/d) to bring technical ideas to life and optimize manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Update existing construction drawings, particularly for press tools, and familiarize yourself with our product portfolio and manufacturing processes.
- Develop and construct press tools for new products and complex manufacturing tasks.
- Evaluate customer inquiries about new products for technical and construction feasibility, coordinating closely with our Customer Service.
- Identify potential for optimizing our manufacturing processes and implement improvements in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Independently manage customer projects-technically, economically, and on schedule-until internal and external series release.
- Prepare the necessary production documents and ensure a structured, efficient project workflow with complete documentation.
- Analyze test results and prepare the findings in an understandable manner for our customers.
- Support production starts and subsequent series production, answer technical questions from our customers, and contribute to the high-quality and reliable manufacturing of our products.
Requirements
- Completed studies in process engineering, materials science, or a comparable field; also open to professionals (m/w/d) with a suitable technical focus.
- Interest in ceramic materials and ideally prior knowledge of ceramics.
- Initial practical experience in the development of ceramic products is a plus-for example, from a first professional activity, an internship, or your thesis; approximately three years of professional experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and enjoyment in developing technical processes and workflows.
- Clear and target-oriented communication-in exchange with production, tool construction, sales, quality, and customers.
- Confident communication in an international working environment in English.
- Independent and reliable work, taking responsibility, and maintaining an overview even with multiple tasks.
