Deal Origination is an area that gathers information about upcoming transactions in the CEE region. The team's goal is to support Private Equity funds in identifying companies that will add value to their investment portfolio. Working in the Deal Origination team, you will have the opportunity to understand how Private Equity funds operate and make investment decisions. From the very beginning, you will participate in analyzing CEE markets for potential transactions in close collaboration with EY's regional offices. We also offer the opportunity to expand your knowledge in corporate finance, learn to use professional databases, and gain unique experience in the transactional market.

EY.AI – in this position, you will work with a team where AI agents are part of the transactional process and investment decision-making. They support financial analysis, interpretation of standards, building insights, and preparing client communications, helping to quickly identify risks and create valuable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Mapping sectors and identifying acquisition targets in Poland and CEE
• Creating target lists with investment theses and transaction hypotheses
• Actively creating transactional situations and building a pipeline
• Direct contact with company owners, C-level, and PE funds
• Commercial evaluation of companies and market segments (attractiveness, scalability, growth potential)
• Preparing commercial and marketing materials (teasers, one-pagers, market insights)
• Preliminary financial and commercial analysis of companies and sectors

Requirements

• Experience in M&A / deal origination / strategic consulting / PE or research (2-4 years)
• Investment mindset and ability to conduct commercial business evaluations
• Ability to build investment stories and prepare clear materials for clients/investors
• Strong commercial mindset and proactivity – initiating topics, not just analysis
• Ease in working with people – ease of establishing relationships and conversations with C-level
• Very good English (international work – min C1)
• Proficiency in research and sourcing (LinkedIn, databases, tools)
• Good work organization (Excel / CRM / pipeline tracking)
• Independence in managing part of the entire team's work
• Proficiency in using AI tools in daily work
