About the Position
Role Description
We are looking for an L2 Application & Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a growing support team responsible for maintaining the stability, reliability, and performance of critical production systems.
This role sits at the intersection of application support and infrastructure operations, acting as the first technical line of defense for incidents while also contributing to system improvements, automation, and operational excellence.
You will work in an international environment, collaborate closely with development, platform, and service desk teams, and play a key role in building and shaping the L2 support capability from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Act as the L2 point of contact for production incidents, alerts, and service requests, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
- Monitor system health using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Loki, and proactively identify potential issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and work with development and platform teams on permanent fixes and improvements.
- Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues across Kubernetes, Linux/Windows environments, and load balancer layers.
- Support deployments, rollbacks, and maintenance activities, including planned work outside business hours when required.
- Use SQL to investigate data-related issues, validate fixes, and support operational troubleshooting.
- Participate in on-call rotation and handle critical incidents according to defined SLAs.
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing to improve operational maturity.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Loki.
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, including working with Ingress and load balancer technologies such as Kong.
- Practical experience with Git and GitLab CI/CD in a production or support environment.
- Ability to use SQL for troubleshooting and investigating production issues.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, including basic command-line operations.
- Exposure to database technologies such as Oracle or MySQL, including maintenance or migration support.
- Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Docker, Helm, Harbor, ArgoCD, Liquibase, or Dbmaintain.
- Experience or interest in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
- Ready to work on 24/7 on-call rotations.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written).
