L2 Application Support Engineer (a)

In our Market Unit Financial Services, we develop and operate tailored software solutions in demanding and highly regulated environments. As part of a growing managed-services setup, you will analyze and resolve incidents, ensure reliable application operations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our support services. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality operational services and maintaining business-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and resolving incidents escalated by L1 Support
• Troubleshooting application issues using logs, monitoring data, and technical documentation
• Coordinating incident resolution with support teams, developers, and external providers
• Monitoring application availability, performance, and operational health
• Supporting deployments, release validation, and operational activities
• Contributing to problem management and root-cause analysis activities
• Driving operational improvements and support automation initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in application support, application management, or production support
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications and technical integrations
• Knowledge of Linux, SQL, and application log analysis
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and ITSM tools
• Understanding of ITIL-based incident and problem management processes
• Understanding of deployment, release, and CI/CD processes
• Experience with container platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification is a strong plus
• Fluency in German and English
