Laboratory Technician, Food Chemistry

The Laboratory Technician handles samples, performs chemical analyses, and reports accurate and timely data according to Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Performs applicable testing with proper proficiency training with supervision
• Assists with cleaning laboratory carts, glassware, racks
• Maintains cleanliness of laboratory work surfaces
• Maintains records of all quality activities as required in Operating Procedures and Test Methods
• Homogenizes samples following standard protocols
• Maintains and verifies equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Chemistry or related field required
• Commercial laboratories experience an asset

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM (flexibility will be provided)

Salary

• $18.90 per hour
