About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Lawyer with 3-5+ years in IP & cyber/media law to manage website/content takedowns and domain disputes across EU, UA, and CIS regions.
Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and remove defamatory, fraudulent, or abusive content across websites, media, and platforms.
- Draft and send cease-and-desist, DMCA/Trademark, and platform-specific notices in EU, UA, and CIS regions.
- Coordinate blocking/removal with hosting providers, CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare), domain registrars/registries (UDRP/URS/WIPO), and news outlets.
- Manage search engine de-indexing requests.
- Ensure lawful processing: assess defamation/libel exposure, GDPR/UK GDPR (incl. Right to be Forgotten), EU DSA/E-Commerce Directive, US CDA §230, and local laws in target markets (including UA and CIS).
- Build and maintain evidence packages (timestamped screenshots, hashing, web archiving, correspondence logs); issue preservation letters; maintain chain of custody.
- Advise internal teams (PR/Communications, Security/IR, Product, Marketing) on risk-mitigated messaging and compliant media use of the company’s trademarks and content.
- Run periodic OSINT/brand monitoring, triage incidents, set SLAs and escalation paths; produce analytical memos and playbooks.
- Manage outside counsel for UDRP/URS and defamation/trademark litigation where needed.
Requirements
- Master’s in Law
- 3-5+ years in IP & cyber/media law with a proven track record of website/content takedowns and domain disputes (UDRP/URS).
- Hands-on DMCA (and non-US analogues), trademark enforcement (infringement/dilution; understanding of nominative fair use), defamation strategy (UK/EU/US/UA/CIS).
- Experience communicating with hosting providers, CDNs, registrars, media; familiarity with platform T&S processes.
- Strong evidence & documentation practice (preservation, chain of custody, case management tools).
- English B2-C1 (drafting & negotiations). Proactive, self-directed, ownership mindset.
Nice to Have
- Litigation experience in reputation defense/defamation matters.
- Experience with RTBF/de-indexing at scale.
- Use of OSINT/brand protection tools.
