Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

Join our fast-growing business group as a Lawyer in Cyprus. Provide legal support, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for companies registered in Cyprus and other jurisdictions.
  • Conduct legal risk assessments for new and ongoing projects.
  • Develop recommendations to minimize legal risks during project implementation.
  • Advise on legal aspects of business operations, including regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Support communication and negotiations with regulatory authorities.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to business activities.
  • Ensure the legal integrity of transactions and safeguard the companies’ interests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) is required; LL.M. or other postgraduate qualification preferably in corporate law is an advantage.
  • Qualified lawyer status; registration with the Cyprus Bar Association is a plus.
  • Strong experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents (contracts, agreements, bylaws).
  • Solid knowledge of Cypriot law, including corporate governance, finance regulations, data protection (GDPR), and employment law.
  • 3–5 years of post-qualification experience as an in-house lawyer, especially in corporate/commercial law, regulatory compliance, and contract management.
  • Ability to negotiate with external parties (regulators, suppliers, clients) while protecting company interests.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide clear, practical advice to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
  • Good knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail in managing legal documentation and compliance.
  • Strong collaboration skills, especially with finance, HR, and compliance teams.
