About the Position
Lead Adobe Commerce Software Engineer (SaaS)
In this role, you will shape enterprise-scale commerce solutions using Adobe Commerce and modern composable technologies. You will lead architecture decisions, guide engineering teams, and help clients build scalable, secure, and upgrade-ready digital commerce platforms by combining Adobe Commerce with SaaS services, App Builder, Adobe I/O, and API Mesh.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable Adobe Commerce solutions using core platform capabilities, SaaS services, App Builder, Adobe I/O, and API Mesh
- Define extensibility approaches by selecting the right combination of native features, APIs, serverless applications, events, and webhooks
- Lead technical delivery while collaborating with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality commerce solutions
- Drive integrations with enterprise platforms, including ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, payment, tax, shipping, and other business systems
- Review architecture, code quality, security, performance, and upgrade compatibility to ensure engineering excellence
- Establish reusable development standards, best practices, and implementation patterns across projects
- Mentor engineering teams, resolve complex technical challenges, and support production issue investigations
- Communicate technical decisions and solution recommendations to technical and business stakeholders
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) solution architecture and enterprise implementations
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Commerce architecture, including modules, service contracts, GraphQL, REST APIs, events, message queues, caching, and core commerce capabilities
- Advanced experience with Adobe Developer App Builder, Adobe I/O Runtime, Adobe Developer Console, and serverless development using JavaScript or TypeScript
- Strong expertise in Adobe API Mesh, GraphQL schema composition, authentication, API integrations, and backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns
- Proven experience designing composable commerce solutions and integrating Adobe Commerce with enterprise platforms and third-party services
- Strong programming skills in PHP together with Node.js and/or TypeScript, supported by modern cloud-native engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and secure development
- Demonstrated proficiency in mentoring engineering teams, driving technical decisions, and communicating effectively with technical and business stakeholders
