We are seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction for your team, leading AI-powered product development, and delivering production-grade code across the full stack. You will also play a crucial role in mentoring and growing engineers, collaborating with platform teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Technical leadership: Set the technical direction for your squad, own architectural decisions, manage technical risk, and represent the engineering perspective at our Architecture Review Board.
  • AI-Powered product development: Design LLM workflows, RAG pipelines, and agentic features that run on top of our AI platform in production, at scale.
  • AI Tool adoption: Drive the adoption of AI coding tools across the full SDLC, from planning and design through code review, testing, deployment, and setting the bar for how the squad works.
  • Full-Stack development: Deliver production-grade code across the full stack, including Node.js or Python backends, event-driven AWS architecture, and React where needed.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and grow engineers across AI and full-stack domains through code reviews, design documents, and day-to-day pairing.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with platform teams to consume shared capabilities and contribute reusable patterns back, avoiding one-off solutions when a platform component will suffice.
  • Compliance: Ensure everything we ship is compliant-by-design, auditable, and built to the standards expected of software in FCA regulated financial services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Lead / Lead Software Engineer, including leading engineering squads, setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and making architectural decisions.
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering LLM-based solutions in production, including RAG pipelines and agentic AI features.
  • Proven experience building client-facing GenAI products deployed and operating in production environments.
  • Deep expertise in Python or Node.js, with solid working knowledge of the other language.
  • Experience owning architectural decisions, managing technical risk, and representing engineering in architecture or technical governance discussions.
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS, including event-driven or serverless architectures.
  • Strong English and Polish communication skills (B2/C1).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with React and modern frontend development.
  • Experience with AWS Lambda, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native design patterns.
  • Knowledge of AI agent frameworks, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation techniques.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (FinTech, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance).
  • Experience designing auditable, secure, and compliant AI solutions.
  • Experience driving adoption of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI coding assistants) across the SDLC.
  • Experience contributing to platform engineering initiatives and building reusable platform components.
  • Experience with Architecture Review Boards or similar technical governance processes.

We Offer

  • Hybrid work model: 2 days from the office, 3 days of home office.
  • Office locations: Warszawa, Lublin, Poznań, Katowice, Łódź, Rzeszów.

Thank you for your interest in our offer. We will contact selected candidates whose experience best matches the requirements of the role.
