About the Role

As a Lead Auditor SA8000, you will be responsible for leading the audit team in performing audits/assessments according to DNV standards and protocols, international standards, or equivalent national standards and according to the established DNV methodologies/rules. The main areas of responsibility include:
- Carrying out the work for DNV efficiently and competently as required by instructions/Quality System or as per formal agreement between the client and DNV.
- Promptly contacting customers to confirm the planned activities.
- Ensuring that the independent nature of the DNV scheme is not compromised at any time.
- Maintaining/acquiring the Auditor Registration with DNV or any other registration that has been a basis for acceptance as Lead Auditor within DNV.
- Planning and executing audits, reporting findings, and following up within agreed timescales and economic frameworks.
- Meeting professional practice standards and demonstrating competence in core areas.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with client personnel.
- Maintaining high morale by contributing to an effective positive work environment.
- Acting as a team player who works well with others and guides through the professional development process, including timely completion of reviews and goal setting.
- Maintaining effective communication with line management, between audit team members, and client stakeholders.
- Ensuring the correct use of production tools dedicated to auditing activities and the communication of updated data to allow proper issue and management of certificates.
Responsibilities
- Lead the audit team in performing audits/assessments.
- Ensure compliance with DNV standards and protocols.
- Report findings and follow up within agreed timescales.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Already qualified as a third-party auditor in accordance with primary voluntary schemes related to Management System Certification or equivalent experience.
- APSCA qualification for third-party audits, SA8000 qualification, or experience in social audits is preferential.
- Fluent Italian and good knowledge of English.
- Availability to travel in Italy.
- Good skills in teamwork.
- Positive and result-driven mindset.
- Good organizational skills.
