We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Backend Engineer specializing in Generative AI to lead the creation, implementation, and optimization of generative AI solutions for a global tech client. This role involves direct collaboration with the client's engineering team, full responsibility for backend architecture, and leading a team of developers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality systems. Strong technical expertise in Generative AI, programming experience, and excellent communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Full responsibility for solution architecture, design, and implementation.
Collaborate with client engineering and product teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring compliance with best engineering practices and coding standards.
Design and develop Generative AI solutions, influencing model behavior and optimizing prompts to achieve desired outcomes.
Create robust system architecture and integration patterns tailored to enterprise needs.
Utilize Microsoft Azure services for cloud development and deployment.
Implement and maintain unit tests using frameworks such as xUnit.
Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and prepare technical documentation.
Work with the DevOps team for CI/CD integration and improving development processes.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of software development experience.
Proficiency in Python and Web API frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI).
Good knowledge of Azure services: App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, etc.
Ability to design scalable system architecture and integration patterns.
Experience in writing unit tests using xUnit or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with LLM (Large Language Models) – preferred: OpenAI.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of build/release pipelines and CI/CD automation.
Basic knowledge of secure coding, containerization (Docker), and cloud-native patterns.
Ability to effectively debug and resolve complex backend issues.
