About the Position
Lead Cloud QA IRC290789
We are seeking a Lead Cloud QA with 10-15 years of experience to lead our QA team in Bangalore and Noida, focusing on cloud-based applications and test automation.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the overall quality strategy for backend microservices and cloud platforms
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and test suites
- Review and approve test plans, test cases, automation code, and execution reports
- Ensure complete and accurate test documentation, including test strategies, plans, and reports
- Actively contribute hands-on to automation development and complex test scenarios
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and review processes for QA automation
- Collaborate closely with Architects, Developers, DevOps, Product Owners, and QA team members
- Drive CI/CD test automation integration and continuous quality improvements
- Support prioritization and planning of QA deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Mentor and guide QA team members, fostering technical growth and quality ownership
- Track and report quality metrics, risks, and release readiness to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of overall QA/Software Testing experience, with 3+ years in a Lead or Senior QA role
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, test strategy, and quality metrics
- Proven experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks and libraries for REST APIs
- Strong working experience with Python (preferred) or Java
- Solid experience testing cloud-based applications, deployments, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines for test automation
- Strong experience working in an AWS environment
- Excellent understanding of source control management, coding standards, code reviews, and build/release processes
- Experience leading QA teams and mentoring engineers
Nice to Have
- Strong experience with Robot Framework or other automation frameworks
- Experience testing IoT-based solutions
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS services such as Kafka, Cognito, Aurora
- Experience with performance, scalability, and reliability testing in cloud environments
